There are so many amazing apps out there to make iPhone photography look like it takes some skill. I just found a great post from the adorable Chef Katelyn that outlines her favorite apps. I’m not going to rehash all of them, except for Aviary . Seriously folks, if you take pictures with your phone you need this app. It can correct everything – lighting, brightness, darkness, contrast…with just a tiny touch. But I digress. There’s another app I think you will love.
360 Panorama is my new favorite thing. It’s really hard to take a picture of a big object with an iPhone without backing up really far. We went to the Smithsonian Air and Space Museum this weekend to finally take a look at the Space Shuttle Discovery that flew across the country and over DC a few months ago. It was totally amazing but impossible to get into one picture without this app.
Seriously amazing stuff.
Gigantic chopper.
I was able to capture a humungous row of hanging planes in one shot. Definitely click for the full size on this one!
It’s so easy to use. You basically just hold your phone up like you do to take any picture, press the shutter button and move your camera like you’re taking a video of what you’re trying to get a picture of. When you stop moving the camera, the app takes all the footage of the item and mashes into one big picture. That’s all there is to it!
It does take a little bit of juice to get running the first time it’s opened but after that it moves quickly and just does such a seamless job of getting a huge item into one picture.
Do you have a favorite photo app that you love?
This is not a paid review. I just love this app and taking pictures with my phone. Enjoy!
