I love my running club because inform me on everything! I just received an email from someone in my club, and apparently BAA has some new rules for upcoming Boston Marathons! The times are faster now and it looks they are implementing rolling admissions-the first day of registration you have to beat your qualifying time by a certain time, then the second day the amount of time you have to beat the qualifying time decreases, etc.
I think this will be disappointing for some of those people who are in the middle of trying to qualify and were already so close. It is always frustrating when you are trying to meet a goal and then it just gets even more difficult to meet. At the same time, I think it might be good in the sense that the marathon did sell out in such a quick time period. Double edged sword. I think the pressure will be on to try to beat the qualifying times so that you have a chance to even register!
