National Running Day, Tabatas, & a Sandwich Makeover

Today is National Running Day!
To celebrate the boys and I walked a mile to VBS this morning. We had a small crew with the boys and Chase’s friends Cole, Caden and their sister, Maddie! The boys did great, Maddie only made it about three houses and hitched a ride on my back the rest of the way. Maddie is four and probably weighs about 30-40 pounds. Crazy enough this is how much weight I lost on my journey to being fit . So get out there and celebrate the day with a walk or run. I plan on getting a long run in later today!
Yesterday I posted a Interval Circuit Workout I put together for my brother and a couple of his workout buddies. It proved to be a little hard for these muscle buff guys who do absolutely no cardio what so ever. They made it through 2 of the 3 rounds, kind of. (wink, wink) Today’s plan of attack; Tabatas! Here is what I have in store for them.
I think the 10 second rest will help them push through the workout.
The boys are at VBS this week, so in between training sessions, runs, and errands I have to eat on the run. Today I packed a Avocado Tomato Feta Chicken Sandwich with a cup of blueberries. Trust me it is awesome!
Avocado Tomato Feta Chicken Sandwich
Avocado Half, sliced
2 Tbsp. Fat Free Feta Cheese
Tomato Half, sliced
1/4 cup shredded rotisserie chicken
1/4 cup sprouts
1 Sandwich Thin
Stack each ingredient on sandwich thins, then enjoy! I found the feta works great between the avocados and tomatoes.
