Before the much-anticipated Passover update, let’s have some R-Patz and Twilight goodness to brighten the mood:

And, the Poles are pretty much into the Twilight Saga too. I have seen two book stores at the center and they all had the books right at the front of the store.

It appears like Breaking Dawn is the popular one, though (?)

Dear Lord, let my people me EAT anything that is not Matzah

I have always hated Matzahs. Ever since I can remember myself as a child I would look forward to Passover because of the two weeks holidays and the amazing family gathering for the Seder and follow-ups feasts, but I hated the Matzahs. I would beg my mother to drive to the Christian quarter in Haifa and buy me some Chometz Pita bread. She would when I went really off board.

But then I grew older and my relationship with God grew too and, ironically, I am now the only person in my house who would not eat Chometz. But I still hate the Matzah. Something about the flavor is too wrong. I tried the whole “let’s top it with chocolate” but why would I want to top a Matzah with chocolate when it tastes so much better when it is a leavened goodie instead?

So I just don’t do Matzahs anymore (other than on the eve of the Seder). Instead I do rice cakes, which are allowed according to my Spheradic father. And Quinoa, which I already told you about.

I actually made it through Poland and all fairly well. But on rice cakes. I have been eating rice cakes for practically every meal and snack. I am too ashamed to even post my daily meals here. The Poles even offered me tons more Matzah options, but still nothing good is coming from my hungry tummy:

Onion - flavoured Matzah

Other flavours include poppy seds, rye, natural, onion and tomato

But it’s not looking good. I am really not feeling well. I am taking in as much protein as I can ( egg
whites, my new discovery, are a-mazing!!!), dairy (Yoplait and Yoplait and then some more Yoplait), fruits (at least three apples a day) and veggies (carrots, brussel sporuts, tomatoes…) But I just cannot wait for this to be over. Maybe I need my morning bowl of almost-goodness, i.e. Quinoa. Cause nothing is like my bowl of real-goodness i.e. porridge but at least it’s something.

And yes, EGG WHITES. Where have they been all my life? 2 minutes in the microwave and I have a super filling snack/EGG?? WOW they are good! Eastern Europe is so behind! So is Israel! We don’t have these. Anybody got any suggestions on how to use them with OATS, meaning SWEET? Will it work?

Running in Poland was basically okay. This week I found out that I am finishing my usual 5.5 KM in less time, so I have added half a lap or so around my neighbourhood to make up the 35-40 minutes. I have no idea what I run in Poland distance wise. Once I got out of the Hotel (nice 6:45 AM wake up calls) I jogged for about 5 minutes to some park near by. When I say jogged I mean to say that I was pretending to be jogging while focusing on not twisting my ankle. Like I mentioned in my previous post, the pavements were unbelievably bad. I should be thanking God hundred times for just letting me make it without any injury! When that nightmare would be over, the park was fairly stable and green. Very calm and serene, which did not fit with my Muse/Lady Gaga/Eminem/Fast and Furious OST so I opted for some Bond instead. There was also a lake so ducks would climb out and join me, only I am so much faster than they are, you know.

Right now I am too tired, and the reason remains a mystery to me considering the fact that I had enough sleep on both nights. I am also not feeling too well so in case I go for a run in a while it will have to be a short one. I have also not completed any routine of my Abs Challenge or The Shred so there is definitely enough to do. And the theory!!! ARGH! Test is THIS Friday people! I am going to explode!
