Happy Thursday to you! As you guys know, I talked here about starting the Fast Metabolism Diet. (I hate the word 'diet', I think of it as a change of life!) Well, my good friend Gigi asked me how it was going to fit into my marathon training. Can you believe I didn't even THINK of that? She noticed that the plan says I can only run 2 days a week. Of course since I'm training for Chicago, I run 4 times a week, including a long run on Saturday! She was nice enough to ask the author, Hailey Pomroy, about it. Hailey said the diet is not designed to be paired with marathon training. But you can still do the 'rules'. Stay away from refined sugar, wheat, dairy, soy and corn. So, that's what I'm doing for now and I've already lost 5 lbs.! I'm not following the plan exactly, but will still follow the rules of it. (I'm already going through ice cream withdrawals...and it's bad!!)
Last night I ran 7 miles on the good ole' treadmill. I could've ran outside, but decided to stay in and watch a movie instead.
