Let's give this a shot! My first blog post!

What a beautiful day today!  It is supposed to be around 90deg today.  Wow!  I think we might have skipped spring all together!

I may run a few miles after work & take advatage of the weather.  I ran the *inaugural* Rock N Roll Half Marathon in Dallas in March.  I believe that was one of the most awesome experiences ever!  :)  Have a ran any since then?  No!  Boo!

I believe it is about time to get back into the running spirit.  I am interested in a trail run in May at Palo Duro Canyon.  I believe it is 9 miles.  I need to get more information.

I hope I can get enough will power to run when I get home today.  I really need to do something since I don't teach class today.  Plus, I ate a little more than normal this past weeked.  It was Easter weekend...Whopper Robin Eggs are yummy!

Until my next post!  :D RNR 2010 Half Marathon - Finished!

Hi RSpence,

Good job setting a goal.  Now it's time to take action.  Writing about it is good.  Its is the clear statement in your head of what you want to do.

The most important step is doing it though.  When you get home tonight, go out for a little run.  Even if it's short.  It is about being consistant and accumlating time.

And if you have a dog use that as motivation!  I've had the greatest time inspiring people to get moving and get fit by inspiring them to run with their dog.

Go and do it!

K9 Coach - The Inspiration Behind Fit Dog Fit Nation

Thanks for the encouragement.  Unfortuanately, I didn't get to run.  The Texas Panhandle wind is in full force this week!  I know - excuses.  :)

Good idea about the dog!  We just got a black lab puppy.  She is 8 weeks this week.  I hope she will be my running / hiking buddy.

Have a great week!  Running is still on my goal for the week.  I am not ginving in yet!

Love black labs.  I have a yellow lab.  They make GREAT running partners too.

Sometimes there are necessary "excuses".  Sometimes it's just nice to have a little support when the "excuse" isn't that necessary!

Since you have a dog you should check out Fit Dog Fit Nation.  All you need to do is register and you'll get dog training tips with video, fitness help and a nice way to gather some motivation without someone being in your face about it.

It's my way of paying it forward by offering fitness and dog training help for those who want to get out there and do it!

Enjoy your puppy.

Wow, thanks gain!  I will definately look at the website.  I will keep you posted too!
