So after looking at the weather for the weekend, I wasn’t sure if I wanted to do my long run on Sunday (super windy, cold) like I usually do or on Saturday (snowy, cold). I decided to wake up early on Saturday, check the weather, and make the call.
Well, my alarm went off at 6:30, I dragged myself out of bed, looked outside, saw snow on the ground, checked the weather on my phone, and went back to sleep. Hmmm… It is quite possible my 15 miler will be done on the treadmill tomorrow (boo…..)
Oh well, at least I got to have my lazy Saturday morning that I always look forward to at the end of a stressful workweek. These delicious banana pancakes were just the icing on the cake.
Have a wonderful Saturday!
Do you look forward to slow, lazy weekend mornings? Saturday mornings are the one morning each week that I sleep in and wait to run until after breakfast. Usually, Ian’s still asleep so I get the apartment to myself to do whatever I want. Anyone else in Chicago (or anywhere else it’s cold, snowy, and windy) have to fit in a training run tomorrow? It looks like it’s going to be 17 degrees feels like 5 around 8 am. I’m not sure that’s outdoor running weather (someone convince me otherwise!!)
