I hope you had a great weekend! Mine was so fun that I’m going to tell you all about it whether or not you actually care.
Friday I went to PartyDog and his writing friends Second City show! The show is running for four consecutive Friday’s this month and you can bet you bottom I’m going to all of them. Despite seeing it last week, I still enjoyed watching it for a second time this Friday. I’m a sucker for fart jokes what can I say? Anyhoot, after staying out till 3:00 AM (<-OMG I KNOW) we woke up late the next morning and I had plans to meet fellow bloggers Emily and Christina for a fun stroll around the farmers market. Naturally I demanded our first stop be here:
Do I even have to tell you I wanted every single loaf of bread? I really wanted this herbed ciabatta but it was $7.00 and I thought my bread addiction would have reached an all time high if I spent $7.00 on a loaf of bread while consuming the entire thing right then and there so I opted for a baguette. I picked up a few other things too:
Pesto will be made as will roasted beets, parsnips and mushrooms. Did I also mention I only got veggies I like? PartyDog doesn’t like corn on the cob, beets or mushrooms. HA! Take that!
Saturday I crashed a post Chicago half-marathon brunch. Despite the fact that I cannot run, I still attend running meetups. If there’s food and people I like, I’ll be there (even if I’m not invited!). I got to stuff my face with my secret lover:
Don’t we look like a couple toasting to our love? Well we are so I guess it all makes sense now. Besides my secret lover Kim, there were other people there who weren’t as in love with me (whatever, I’m not bitter about it or anything…).
( Christina , Emily , Erin , Maggie , Gross Girl, Kim , Emily and Chris.)
As always it was a fun time, we geeked out about running, stuffed our faces with delicious food Erin made to try and fatten us all up and I left feeling thankful to call these ladies friends (even if they don’t know it).
The rest of the weekend was spent napping and reading. Not too bad right?
