Jess from Blond Ponytail always talks about her runches (run + lunch = run during lunch) and it inspired me to do one today! Dave and I have friends visiting from Chicago coming in after work so I am not sure that I’ll have time to fit in a workout. This means if I want to run, I need to do it during lunch (failed at the morning run).
I’m going to aim for 2-3 miles and have to be sure to stretch after. I came prepared for this run with not just one but TWO Sparkly Soul headbands and The Stick.
Don’t worry-I’m not wearing both Sparkly Soul headbands at one time! I brought them in because my friend Margaret is thinking of asking for one for Christmas and wanted to see what it was like on. I brought both colors so she could see what a darker or lighter color looked like! I needed my Stick because if I want to keep up with my return to running, I need to stretch after every run-no matter how long!
Why am I telling you about my runch plans? I want to make myself accountable for this commitment. I often SAY that I want to run during lunch but then I get caught up in work and skip it. Maybe if a coworker is going for a jog today I will tag along with them *cough* Devin *cough* Johnny!
In other news, I’m doing okay with my December goals …but not great. I made my own iced coffee, enough for a few days this week which is GOOD. However, I also bought iced coffee twice this week…which is BAD! One of my goals this month was to spend less money on myself. Spending less money in general will be tough with visitors and the holidays so I gave myself some leniency on this weekend and for gifts for the holidays.
Do you ever working during your lunch?
I tend to prefer to workout before or after work because I have to blow dry my hair. I find it easier in the summers because I just throw my hair up while it’s still wet and it will dry out pretty quickly.
