I actually won!!

Posted Feb 19 2011 7:57pm

Ok so it has been a little bit since I have written anything on here. I have been studying like a crazy person for my AFAA Group Exercise Instructor Certification test. I finally took the test last week and feel like I did pretty dang good. Unfortunately I will have to wait 6 weeks for my results, which will be the longest 6 weeks ever. Just thought I would catch everyone up on what I have been doing.

So to get into the part where I actually won something. If your like me you enter all these free give aways and never really seem to win. I have even had discussions with friends about whether we believe that they are actually truly giving something away. I think that might be a little bit of bitterness speaking. Hahahaha. Ok so I entered a contest to win a 6-week trail running training program. I actually won!! I am so excited!! It is with a trail running group in San Francisco called The Endurables. They seem like an awesome group of people and I am so excited to train with them. I will post photos after I start training.

Now onto some training news. So I am 2 months away from my first Half Marathon. I must say that my running has been a little on the weak side lately. The rainy weather makes it so icky to run outside so I have been hitting the gym more than the sidewalk. Hopefully the rain will let up soon so I can get in some good outside runs. I really miss the scenery and smell of the trees. In the gym I am just infused with the smell of rubber and lots of sweat. HAHAHA. Not that it’s a bad thing but it is definitely not as appealing to my sense of smell.

I have also been using GU Brew lately in my water bottle which is helping so much. It doesn’t have a super sweet or strong taste. I love the Lemon Lime flavor and it helps me go those extra couple miles. If you haven’t tried it out you definitely should. The nice thing is that the sell single paks so you can try it out before buying a whole huge tub of it. Well off to do some more studying for my next test in April.

~Believe in yourself and you will do great things~
