Happy Thursday, gals and pals!
I am in an ecstatic mood today! No particular reason, other than family, friends, God and all the great things that are occurring in my life!
It’s still not looking like the end of March here, and I also realized today we have not changed our clocks to Daylight Saving Time. My Nana called and said they are changing tonight! Israel is always a while before us. I logged onto Infoplease.com and checked there: we are changing this Sunday! It’s about time!
I had a rather boring double session of driving today. We were basically going in circles but the trams, cars and pedestrians in the city do make it more interesting. As in, keep your eyes wide open and your instincts well aware otherwise you are bound to hit something/somebody when you turn left. Hopefully, in two weeks I will not have to endure it anymore!
On my way home my ma called to let me know we are out of FAGE and that my dad and brother are dying for it, so I had to go get some for them. I bought another massive FAGE Total container and 2 more FAGE Tzatzikis. They were out of the FAGE 0% fat so I couldn’t get that…I also bought some more of that eggplant puree and some Spanish cookies. They have some seriously good stuff at that store.
Once I finally got home I was on the verge from lack of food and lack of exercise. This is when my nerves start to hit the wrong course. Does that make any sense?
Although I had an apple, Yoplait, Corny bar and baby carrots as my first mini-lunch, I needed some more food! I also couldn’t eat too much because running with food doesn’t do me or anybody else any good.
Luckily, Activia came up with a new drink flavor:

That is Czech for Raspberry and Grapefruit and it was very good! The whole thing only has 92 calories and 1.5 grams of fiber. I am so amazed at how dairy is able to fill me up so well! I love dairy products of all kind. I would totally be a vegetarian if I could live without my pastrami!
I quickly warmed up (same drills from yesterday) and went out for a run. I vowed to do 40 minutes of pure running and it worked very well!

My feet, THANK-YOU-GOD!, were doing very well! I haven’t shredded into two days straight so this weekend will definitely be catch up time.
Bikiniphobia
I recently saw the big press around Valerie Bertinelli. First I did not know who she was, but then I found on imdb.com that she is from One Day at a Time. I have not actually watched the show but definitely recognized her face.
Anyhow, she is featured on PEOPLE magazine, and they claim she lost over 50 pounds! And, she is 48 years old! It must be so much harder when you are at that age.

Apparently, she was on the Jenny Craig Diet (of which I have never heard of before) and her exercise routine was as follows:
- 60 minute sessions four to five times a week consisting of cardio and strength
- Cardio: Mainly treadmill running for 30 – 45 minutes
- Strength training: using resistance bands and weights, Bertinelli performed a series of alternating combinations of up to 25 triceps dips, 20 push-ups, up to 30 squats, step-ups and over 100 sit-ups total!!
- On some days, she broke her segments into 5 minute mini-sessions, for example 5 minutes cardio, then 5 minutes strength and so on.
The interesting thing behind all this weight lose is that Bertinelli claims she was afraid to get into her Bikini! At first I laughed at that but then I realized so many girls are so conscious of how they look in their bikini. I know I am.
What about you? Do you have bikiniphobia? How do you deal with it?
