I'm back! I did mean to post from Ibiza last week but, well, I was too busy hanging out by the pool, soaking up the sun.
I'm actually reading my swimming book here!
The first few days were spent getting ready for my sister-in-law's wedding. Us gals got massages, mani-pedis and I even got my hair and makeup done for the big day! I felt like a properly pampered princess!
I wish you could see just how pink my toes and sparkly my fingers are!!!
The second half of the week we spent catching up with G's enormous family, meeting all the new babes (it's an epidemic, I think. Everyone's having one. Or did I miss out on the 'must have item' of the season?!) and checking out parts of the island.
Then I came home.
Isn't it great that we're just so very, very fortunate with our weather here in the UK? Obviously, that's me being sarcastic.
Rather appropriate. Some deco in our home away from home.
Anyhoo, as always happens when I go away for some vaycay-fun, I leave with the best of intentions. The execution, however, sometimes lags a bit behind. Or a lot in this instance.
My running shoes saw absolutely no action whatsoever. I did manage to squeeze in a few yoga sessions throughout the week, albeit short ones. But in that kind of setting I think they count double! And I got into the pool on a daily basis, although I didn't always get around to practicing my drills and often just ended up doing my trusted breaststroke. But even that is better than nothing, right?!
All in all, I had a fabulous time and could have easily tagged on another week. But it seems the happy couple was wedding-ed out and ready to run off on their honeymoon sans company. Tsk...
Now, it's back to action. The Jenson Button Trust Triathlon is exactly three weeks away. Time to get serious!
Where was the last place you vacationed?
Killer tan or skin-preserving shade? I must admit, I was so deprived of sun, I sat in it until I turned golden. My apologies to future Jen! Are you good about working out on holiday?
