As a PowerBar Team Elite athlete, I’m excited to represent the Power Bar company and receive their products to help aid my training.  I just received some goodies in the mail…including my favorite, PowerBar^® Pure and Simple Energy Bar in Roasted Peanut Butter. I eat these bars before workouts and I always have one before a long run – including before the New York City Marathon. My stomach is very particular about what I eat before running, but I love grabbing these before to help maintain the energy for my muscles.  It’s especially important to me that they do not contain preservatives or artificial flavors.

With that being said, I’m very excited to announce my first blog GIVEAWAY! I’m going to give away a package of my favorite Power Bar products. I’m including the following:

* I’ve never tried this flavor of energy gels. I normally get the Double Latte flavor and I like those. One thing to note: Power Bar gels are a little thinner than other gels. If you prefer the consistency of the thicker energy gels like Gu , you may not like the Power Bar version. But, some people prefer the thinner consistency because they are easier to consume. Your call!

Gel Flask (1). Why get all sticky and fumble with opening multiple gel packets when you can put everything in this handy little flask!
