Green & Gold Friday.

Posted Jan 21 2011 12:00am

Just in case you don’t know the Packers play the Bears on Sunday. I live in Wisconsin…I work with Packer fans…we had a Packer Friday at work today!

Basically this means we all got to bring food into work and dress in green and gold. We Wisconsinites are simple like that. I’m not much of one to follow football but I do know that Monday will be a sad day at work if the Packers lose…we have a lot of Packer fans in the office!

Like I said…not much of a football follower here but I do own my some green…

31days:31outfits Day 5
- Grey leggings (Rue 21)
- Black tights
- Jean Skirt (Paris Blue)
- White Long Sleeve (Mossimo)
- Yellow & Green Tanks (Old Navy)
- Awesome sauce scarf!

I was feeling a little festive, colorful and twisted.

Oh, and the green in my scarf matched my green tank top perfectly in real life – I blame the flash of the camera!

Also, note the amount of green in the first outfit photo I took…I own a ton of green! Green phone cover, green re-useable bag, green jacket, green coffee mug, green makeup bag…green, green, green!

Of course I was responsible enough to bring some food in for potluck…I wanted to have a free for all on everyone else’s food so I had to contribute!

Crock Pot Macaroni & Cheese
(double batch)

INGREDIENTS:

- 4 cups dry macaroni (1lb box)
- 1 stick of butter
- 5 cups grated sharp cheddar cheese
- 4 eggs, beaten
- 1 cup sour cream
- 2 cans condensed cheddar soup
- 2 cups milk
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp dry mustard
- 1 tsp black pepper

DIRECTIONS:

1. Cook the macaroni to “al dente”, or about 7 minutes. While the macaroni is cooking melt the butter in a sauce pan. Add the cheddar cheese and stir until it is melted.

2. In a medium-sized crock pot combine the butter/cheddar mixture, beaten eggs, sour cream, cheddar soup, milk, salt, mustard and pepper. Once this is all mixed together add the macaroni.

3. Leave everything in the crock pot on high for about 2-3 hours. The shredded cheddar will continue to melt and mix over time.

**NOTE: The cheddar cheese did not properly melt until after about an hour in the crock pot, but then it mixed much better. Also, this macaroni and cheese stayed in the crock pot from 10am-4pm and was still edible. The photos I took are of the re-heated macaroni and cheese that Chris and I had for supper.**

Workout Wanda

I got myself up out of bed this morning and headed to spin class…it was –22 degrees! Brrr! I love snow, I really do, but if it is too cold to go outside and play in the snow then I’m not a fan…that is what today was! A perfect day for spin class and NROLFW indoors…at the Y…in the warmth.

Spin was 40 minutes of misery. It had nothing to do with the actual physical part of spinning…it was the music. I’m usually pretty open to music and have been heard saying “I’ll listen to anything but Christian rock!”. Well, today’s spin music was jazz and Christian rock…I’ve learned that I like jazz music even LESS than Christian rock. *PUKE*

I had a really hard time not just walking out of the class. What really got me was that this class usually has some pretty awesome Top 40 music…NOT today.

I was trying to convince Chris to come with me to spin today…it’s a good thing he didn’t, he would have probably punched someone in the face if he had to listen to a 12 minute Jazz song! Wowza!
