This was my first month participating in Foodie Penpals! Boy oh boy am I glad that I did!
My foodie Penpal was Michelle from Savory Flavors ! Being from New England, she sent me a box of little treats that are New England made. With an adorable little note in the nicest handwriting about how they’re all from the New England and Boston area.
My favorite was by Far the Quinn popcorn . Oh. Muh. Gosh. I’m not even a popcorn fan. It gets stuck in my teeth. Throat — my hands are greasy for hours after… But this popcorn I could eat every day.
It’s by no means your average popcorn. It comes with two bags for seasoning. 1 is canola oil – no butter kids!!! 2 is Sea Salt and Maple Sugar… Giving it a slightly salty and slightly sweet flavor that is Oh Mee Gosh yum!
My least favorite was the Mexican style chocolate. The CINNAMON chocolate
It was so odd. I bit into it, and at first it was a dry chocolate. Then slowly I was more and more overwhelmed with the hot flavor of cinnamon. It was so weird. Don’t get me wrong – im glad I tried it & thankful she sent it, but I’ll never go buy it in the store.
This is Zack after he took a bite.. Haha. It was too funny (yes I made him try it first!)
The honey was excellent! I’ve added it to my smoothies and granola/yogurt bowls nearly every day since I got it!!! Mmmm!
So – Michelle – awesome job!!! Thank you sooo much. & if you know where I can pick up some Quinn in Maryland – because I may or may not have already ate it all, you’ll also be my hero!
