Today against my weak, sore muscles' protests, I dragged myself down to the cardio room. It went better than expected; I only stopped because we all did for abs.
I only managed to drag myself down because I spent the afternoon looking up inspirational quotes (especially regarding running). I found one that will adorn my to-do list for the next week: "Do a little more each day than you think you possibly can."
That is definitely my motto for these first few weeks. At this point I either overestimate my abilities and then get disappointed or underestimate them and get bored. So for now, I'm just going to go to the cardio room/out for a run and do a little more than I think can. I did run cross country so I will know when too much is too much, hopefully.
Tomorrow we will rebel against both the still chilly weather and the oppressively hot cardio room and go for a run outside in the cross country loop.
