I mentioned that I haven’t felt very happy lately. I’ve just been so stressed and overwhelmed by life, happiness has eluded me. That’s the reason why I made the “Laugh More, Stress Less” resolution . I remind myself of this every day. And I know that we can’t wait for happiness to be given to us, we have to make our own happiness.
That’s why I was excited when I was given the chance to review the book by Susie Pearl. But I didn’t know quite how excited I was until it arrived, because it’s a beautiful book. Seriously, the design of this book is so cool!
I can read books really fast, but this one isn’t something that I can power through. It’s something that I need to absorb and interact with. There are even worksheets! It’s like an activity book for grown-ups!
There is a companion website that has audio recordings to associate with various lessons/exercises. You can get the book in a traditional paperback, which I have, or a spiral-bound version, which would be a lot easier to work through.
So my review of this book may have to come in bits and pieces with a final wrap-up coming further down the road. Even though I find it hard to fit in all the things I want to do now that I’m a mom, I will be trying to fit this in as well. I need to figure out how to help myself feel more at ease with my life now. Perhaps this book will give me some direction!
