So far this summer, my favorite days have been Wednesdays. I've been getting up at 5 to have breakfast and coffee before heading out for my midweek long runs. Then, after my guy got home in the evening, I went to the pool for my swimming lesson. I loved doing both workouts in one day and it has made me feel really strong to still have the endurance to swim a few hundred meters after running.
In the last four weeks, I learned a lot! I can breathe properly during the front crawl. I'm pretty proficient at the back stroke and the elementary backstroke. I can get from one end of the pool to the other using sidestroke and breaststroke. My breaststroke still needs work and I don't really care for sidestroke. I can make it about half way down the lane doing butterfly (omg hard!).
Sadly, my last lesson was cancelled due to thunder, so I didn't get the chance to practice flip turns. I tried a few times on Monday, but I don't think I curled up enough because I didn't really go anywhere. :( I did, however, watch a bunch of youtube videos and I bought a nose clip because water in the nose is awful.
This was my favorite video...I'll be trying this on Sunday!

Can you do flip turns? What is the secret?
