This morning I had my first double digit run in over 2 months. I read something in Chicken Soup for the Runners Soul last night where it said something along the lines of 'you can run twice as far as you think you can.' Running truly is mind over body and is more of a mental battle than anything.
Saturday Morning Run: 11.21 miles First ten miles in 1:28:52 for a 8:53 pace Last 1.21 miles was a combination of running and walking - 2min run, 1 min walk, repeat. I was still a ways from home and didn't want to walk the entire way so that's why I incorporated running.
I stopped and snapped two photos. It is a picture perfect morning outside. Clear blue skies and was about 50 degrees when I started out for my run. I love running around this army post on Saturday mornings. There are hardly any cars and it is just so quiet. There are so many roads to choose from that I never get bored.
Then I came home to see that my shitface dog destroyed one of my throw pillows. GAH! And he so knew he was in the wrong because as soon as I walked in the bedroom, he bolted and hid under the bed and wouldn't come out.
But... it's so hard to be mad at him when he looks like this so often
