"Do the thing you fear most and the death of fear is certain" - Mark Twain
I was going to write a great big "day before the big race" emotional, heart felt, inspiring blog post.
I was going to post pictures of every little thing I packed in my gear bin, the clothes I'm going to wear, the shoes that are going to take me up the mountain.
But I've got nothing.
I'm scared, but I'm ready. Everything from here on out is out of control, except for my attitude. I'm fully prepared for the pain, the adventure, the emotional high and really low lows. Bring them all on. I'm honored to be one the 382 people chosen to tackle this course (and one of the only 64 women in that group). I'm thankful to the people at Spartan HQ for this opportunity. I have nothing but love for and no words to express the thanks I feel towards those who have supported this crazy, ridiculous goal of mine from the start.
26.2+ miles . 60 obstacles. Ultra Beast or bust.
If I survive this thing, it's gonna be one hell of a race recap.
