We show up at the Greater Gulf State Fair Grounds about an hour before the race starts. It is a little cool for the end of April at 55 degrees; so glad I skipped the Mullet Man this year! Nikki and I decided to grab a pair of socks in hopes to keep us a little warmer!
We started walking around checking everything out and ran into some old friends!
Some more friend's – Sherick and Michelle. It was great to see old friends, since our move 5 years ago to the beach we do not get see everyone enough.
Check out all the White it is the last time you will see it. Gumby started off the race!
The Color Me Rad course looped around the Greater Gulf State Fair Grounds. It had rained the night before so the ground was a little squishy. Glad I opted on my old running shoes. Nikki and I ran together and it was a blast! I lost count on how many color stations they had. The Color Me Rad volunteers did an awesome job making sure you didn’t have a white spot on your body.
The Color Me Rad Photographers got Nikki and I running through a sea of Pink at the end!
Check out those smiles! Oh yes we had a blast! First run I have finished smiling, usually at this point I am trying to sprint and can’t breathe. It was nice to go and run just for fun with no pressure.
Our after shots!
The after party was a blast as well. Nothing like dancing to the Harlem Shake while having Color dumped all over you!
Don’t forget a towel for your car seats! You are going to need it.
Check out a Color Me Rad near you, I promise you will have a RADical time!
