Coach’s Corner: The Perfect Recovery Breakfast

As we enter the Spring season and weekends become “Race Weekends”, we need to ensure our bodies are getting the proper fuel during the week. Recently, I found myself running out the door after a killer speed workout without the proper fuel. Think about it, protein is the building block for recovery and crucial in repairing the body after stress.

Sooooo, here is a quick and easy answer to protein on the go in less than 1 minute.
The Perfect Egg:
Step One – Grab your favorite coffee mug and spray a little Pam in the bottom.
Step Two- Crack and egg into the cup and whisk it for a few seconds with anything you can find to break the yoke.
Step Three- Pop in the microwave for 45-55 seconds.
Step Four-  Pop this perfectly cooked egg in between some toast, add a slice of cheese and enjoy!
