Eggnog or hot chocolate?
Really? Come on, I think we could start with a harder one than that ;)

Does Santa wrap presents or just sit them under the tree?
Considering Santa paid us a visit a few days early this year, I would say they are wrapped. When we were growing up, Santa would always leave a few unwrapped so my brother and I wouldn’t wake my parents up at 4am to open presents.

they’ve been under the tree since Sunday…

Colored lights on tree/house or white.
Colored. We usually do white lights outside (when we put lights up) and colored on the tree. It’s not a “classy” tree at all. Most of the ornaments are ones we made growing up or were gifted depending on the stage of life we were in at the time. No plain glass ones for us.

Do you hang mistletoe?
Nope. Maybe i should so I could have some more luck in the boyfriend department #single4lyfe

When do you hang your decorations up?
Ha we have been known to buy our christmas tree on christmas eve. You can’t be too picky about them at that point! This year we did some decorating over the weekend but we’re a procrastinating kind of family.

What is your favorite holiday dish (excluding dessert)?
Popovers and roasted potatoes and green beans aka that’s my dinner plate. Almost the same as thanksgiving.

Favorite holiday memory as a child?

I used to absolutely love opening my stocking on Christmas morning, eating cinnamon rolls or pancakes, and then opening presents with my family before our cousins came over.

What is on your Christmas wish list?

I actually didn’t ask for anything this year. Usually I have at least one thing in mind, but to be honest, I buy what I want when I want (which isn’t very much other than races). I make enough money in the summer and luckily am on a full scholarship so I don’t have bills to pay. Next year I’ll probably be saying things like, “I need money for socks” but I plan on savoring my last Christmas as a student where I don’t have to worry about money.

wineinabag Do you open a gifts on Christmas Eve?

We open Christmas pajamas every year after church. It’s one of my favorite traditions.

Snow? Love it or dread it?
I have a love-hate relationship with it. I like seeing it and I enjoy skiing, but I hate cold weather.

I have no idea how my parents convinced me to go with them

I don’t know how my parents convinced me to go

Real tree or fake tree?

Real.

Do you remember your favorite gift?

In recent years, my blackberry was my favorite. It certainly got the most use of any gift I’ve ever received. But growing up, I would probably say my American Girl dolls. I loved them.

What’s the most important thing about Christmas for you?
The time spent with my family and the buildup. I don’t actually like Christmas day. It is a sign that the holiday season is coming to an end. Christmas eve is by far my favorite day of the holiday season. I love making cookies, decorating the tree, looking at the lights… that all ends after December 25th.

Silent Night with the candles at Christmas Eve service.

Candy canes, yuck or yum?

Only sugary ones like the new Swedish Fish ones i discovered thanks to Janae! I hate mint.

Cookies and milk, keeping it traditional :)

I hate shopping with a burning passion so I would much prefer doing it online.

Christmas letter or Christmas card?

Christmas cards! I’m in charge every year of my family’s. I have so much fun making them! I’ll post the one for this year eventually…
