My two running tips for today are #1 Chew Gum: If you don't want to take water on your run, chew gum. Seriously works, maybe I've been living under a rock or something but my BFF Chantell who is wise beyond her years gave me this tip and I used it last night on my 2 mile run in the 95 degree heat. Worked like a charm!!
#2 Run along side your kids bike: If your littles are as competitive zippy as Ms. Sophie, you won't be tempted to stop...you'll be too busy trying to keep up. This also worked several years ago when my son Kade was 4 and I was totally out of shape, never went running but went with him one day and ran 3 1/2 miles without stopping all because he was a speedster and wouldn't stop. So if you're a newbie runner or you just want to work on your endurance...give it a try!
