At Twin Peaks, a videograhper/filmmaker named Art was shooting footage for some of his projects. He helped with course marking and shot footage on that day as well. The deal was that he'd use the footage for his project on cross country running and I would get the footage so I could use some in marketing of Twin Peaks.
Art also flies a small plane and has shot aerial footage in the past. He was looking for someone who has camera experience who could go with him to shoot aerial footage of the mountains and the Twin Peaks course. Since I have camera experience but not flying I was definitely up for the challenge. Being the adventuresome type that I am it sounds like a lot of fun! I'm kinda guessing it will be the smallest plane I will have even been in. I'll also being flying at high enough altitude to get in a little "altitude" training :) No heat, no pressurization. I'll have to bundle up!
We are flying out of the Ontario airport around 8AM Thursday morning! So if you don't hear from my on my blog for a while after Thursday you will know what happened to me ;)
If I do return I will have some awesome footage to put into a Twin Peaks promo video (along with the other stuff he already shot). I'm also planning on using the footage to put together a promo for my planned 100 miler.
