That is precisely what I was thinking about 1 mile into my 2.36 mile run this morning! Why was I verbally abusing the world so early on a Tuesday morning? Because the tops of BOTH of my feet are hurting. Yeah, that’s right, BOTH, not just my right foot. It’s the same pain I got on my right foot before my tendons started creaking. So all of the verbal abuse seemed appropriate.
Now, some people might blame it on my half this past Sunday, but I disagree. Yes, I did go into my half slightly under trained but just two weeks ago I ran a solid 10 miles without any foot pain. I ran in the same shoes on a similar course and at a faster pace. My feet were fine. Why are they hurting now? I ran the half very conservatively and my feet started hurting. Why!? I do NOT want to deal with tendonitis in both of my feet! I guess my handy dandy ice packs and I will become friends again. Blah!
Anywho, enough whining.
I did take Monday off as a rest day because of my aching joints, but this morning I went out for an easy run just to get my muscles moving again. I set all three of my GPS tracking apps on my Android phone. None of them worked. Runner and JogTracker refused to get a signal and RunStar decided I only ran .67 miles at a 5:53 pace. Once again I used mapmyrun.com to figure out the distance and I have no clue what my pace was. RunStar said I had been running for 22:37, but considering it couldn’t figure out my distance I’m not sure how accurate the time was.
