After starting a cross fit like class and talking to a personal trainer and a few friends, I decided to give Paleo a shot. There has to be something that is holding the weight on and I need to figure it out! This is a pretty strict routine and its definitely not going to be easy considering my favorite food is cheese, but I would gladly give it up if I knew that the secret to getting to where I want to be was eliminating certain foods.
I spent a ton of money on groceries this weekend and preparing my apartment with the right foods and chucking anything that might get in my way. I did have one last hurrah last night as I celebrated the holidays with friends. I am committed to losing weight this winter and getting my body in a fit, healthy condition.
On top of all that, I was asked to be the Maid of Honor in one of my best friends wedding. The bride and groom are two of my favorite people in this world. I met them freshman year of college and actually introduced them. They are getting married next September 2013, so I'd love to look my best walking down that aisle!
I am going to post my daily menu and exercise as a means of motivation. I hope I don't bore you all but I think accountability is huge. By any means if you have had success with it please leave me a comment. Tweaking my menu will be important!
Today I did a lot of prep for the week. I chopped 3 bell peppers, made broiled haddock, baked 6 baby sweet potatoes, hard-boiled eggs and made a "trail mix" and bagged it out for snacks.
Trail Mix 1/4 cup of raw sunflower seeds 1/8 cup of pumpkin seeds 1/4 cup of raw almonds 2 pieces of "Just Mango" unsweetened dried Mango cut up.
Menu: Sunday 2 eggs with natural hot sauce 4 slices of no nitrate, grass fed, all natural bacon Banana Green Tea
3oz of chicken breasts made in coconut oil with curry and black pepper 1/2 cup of butternut squash
7oz of Atlantic Salmon 1 small sweet potato 1 cup of kale with garlic and olive oil
Exercise 30 mins of Elliptical 1 mile walk
I feel motivated and energized to give this a fair shot! I hope that I have success with it! I even bought a notebook to track foods as well. It has a nice motivating message on the cover! Wish me luck!
