I am new to the idea of having a race schedule for the year. I have run in a couple of races in the past but nothing close to having a “schedule”. It is exciting for me to say that this will be my first year competing in races. Hopefully I will be able to train enough to place in the top of my age group. Having goals helps to keep me motivated but it is really important to celebrate the small things too!!
“Run for the Seals is The Marine Mammal Center’s annual fun run/walk and fundraiser. Last year’s event was a huge success with over 1000 people (and dogs!) of all ages enjoying this beloved Bay Area event to support the life-saving work of the Center.”
I am super excited for this one. I love running a race that has a theme! It makes it that much more fun and the whole energy of the event is so cheerful. This will be my training race before my first half.
I love animals so much and racing to benefit them is even better. This run benefits the Marine Discovery Center in Santa Cruz. The top 3 runners get their picture taken with the animal of their choice…how fun?!
I ran Bay to Breakers with my mom 2 years ago and had a blast!! I couldn’t run last year because it was the same day as a horse show I was competing in. I am excited to run in the 100th anniversary race. It should be a day full of exciting events and costumes of course!
This is supposed to be one of the most entertaining and fun half marathon. The rock and roll series has races all over the US. You can also earn additional medals depending on how many races that you run in the series.
