Rock climbing Tips - Terms

Arete. An arete is a protruding corner of rock
Chimney. Chimney is a crack wide enough to fit your entire body in
Crux. The hardest move on a given route is referred to as the Crux
Mono. A mono is a small pocket that will fit only one finger
Nubbins. Nubbins are small holds that may be ok as footholds, but are usually too small to use as handholds
