Here’s a little hardcore poetry for Monday morning…
Tracy Splinter (Trixy) is a German-South African performance poet and writer. She is well known in the international pop literary scene and on cultural stages throughout Europe, South Africa and the US and gives regular readings and performances of her poetry. She focuses on the spoken dramatic elements of poetry and her shows are a mixture of ritual, seduction and almost carnivalesque humour, where voice and body become the poem. As a freelance writer, interpreter and coach Tracy’s main topics of interest are poetry, art, culture, language, aesthetics, food, sex and eroticism.
I have written a piece called ‘Telephone Sex’ – a poem in two voices, which I have performed on stage. It’s hardcore poetry and it is also all true. As far as I know, I am the only poet presently working on combining eroticism and poetry into live happenings and shows. The audience are still somewhat nervous though, she says.

the Bluesville Bar, la Llonja Palma, Mallorca this month.
The photos below are from a previous performance called ‘Strip Poetry: Oral Pleasures’.
