Should I be worried?

Posted by Momma Risko

So, I'm on birth control and have been for about a year (probably a little longer) and everytime me and my boyfriend have sex, I make him use a condom just in case.  Well, this time the condom broke; it's a week before I start my period and I've heard that it increases your chance of getting pregnant that soon to "that week".

Am I just paranoid or will the pill most likely take care of everything?

Hello Momma Risko,

As long as you have been faithfully following the schedule and taking your birth control pills there should be no problem. Of course no birth control pills are 100% effective (typically 95%+), but there is a high probability that you have nothing to worry about.
