Practice Acts of Random Kindness

Do little things for each other, even if it’s not a special occasion. Bring home flowers for no reason. Give your spouse a gift certificate for a round of golf, a facial, or a special favor from you, just because.

It is easy to fall into comfortable routines with each other. An unexpected gift or service, especially one that you know will delight your partner, says, I care! These small acts of kindness break the routine and bring you closer together.

Your weekly assignment, should you choose to accept it:

If you are uncertain about what would delight your partner, each of you list five to ten things you might do, and ask the other if you are on the right track. If you are certain, choose something, and just do it!
