Loss of sleep, self respect, and peace of mind (24)

I think that it's in our nature to want to be accepted by others and loved unconditionally, and for some, at all cost. I do think that most people have a large enough moral compass to know right from wrong and know that if choosing cheating-in any capacity-there will be an undesirable consequence at some point. Wise people will instead choose to sacrifice temporary, short-lived gratification in an effort to do what's right, knowing that the path that they pave they will be comfortable to sleep at night. Cheating is a form of dishonor that although people may believe they can easily bounce back from, they find themselves more dismayed by their decision to cheat in the long run. The cheater is often the one person who knows the full truth and will need to determine whether or not they ultimately wish to cheat themselves out of sleep, self respect, and peace of mind.
