Is it normal to bleed after sexual intercourse?

Also here are some more info on my personal life at the moment.....

I haven't had a period since Dec 9th 08 and have recently done a pregnancy test at my doctors which came back negative. I had sexual intercourse last night with my partner. When i got up in the night for a wee i was bleeding slightly but not alot... and i thought it must be my period. Well, this morning there is no-more bleeding. What shall i do? I am only 21 years of age.

if you were not well lubricated you may have a mild injury... if you're sure that's not the case, you may have contracted an STD.  Mild bleeding can also occur during implantation (if you just became pregnant from previous intercourse).  Really, the list is long, from normal to severe... You should see your doctor to make sure.
