Body language is the nonverbal communication that goes on in every personal encounter with another human being. It consists of the gestures, poses, movements, and physical expressions that a person uses to connect with others. Your body language communicates the true message you are trying to send. Research has shown that from 50% to as much as 100% of your message is communicated through body language. A simple hand gesture may be all it takes to convey 100% of what you mean. Word and tone of voice are only 7% to 10% of the message. Your ability to read, interpret and understand another person's body language can mean the difference between making a great impression or a very bad one.
