Oh how I loooove visualizations. I'm sooo into them. Have been for years. Visualizations and affirmations are, in my opinion, where it's at!!!
So when my yoga instructor suggested I begin doing some for my placenta... well I was so excited!
Here's what she has suggested:
One thing you can do is wide child's pose, use some cushions under head/shoulder/belly if you need to.
Also some breathing exercises, such as inhale- pause -inhale- pause -inhale- pause -exhale long and slow. Do it sitting up, even supported against a wall, and hips supported with cushions and as you inhale think of directing the breathe upwards and guiding the placenta to the top of the uterus where it really wants to live!! Exhale and extend up through the crown naturally as if you are being lifted by a magnetic force.
I loooove this suggestion and am going to begin it as soon as I finish posting this for you all. If there are any other mamas out there with placenta previa... I hope they'll take the time to do the same. I can soooooo see this working!
In other news... I've been taking it easy this week. No yoga or anything for me. I've been spotting - nothing major - but I have been spotting so I'm on 'rest'. Of course the upside and silver lining to this is my magazine got a LOT of work done on it - and this is a very good thing.
I'm looking forward to the fall fair this weekend and then back to yoga on Monday. I can't wait to get back to yoga - and doing these child's poses are going to give me just the little
pick-me-up I needed since I've been missing going to class every day.
Well I better get to my visualizing!

Today I am so happy and grateful for my yoga instructor and all the wisdom she shares with me (and her other students).
