The benefits of skin brushing are wonderful! Of course, in order to feel and see results, a steady and consistent protocol is vital.

Since your skin is your largest organ, it’s well worth the time and effort to take extra care of this protective barrier that shields you from the various nasties floating about in the outside world. A consistent skin brushing routine can assist the lymph to get rid unwanted materials in the body, so you’ll see great health benefits. It is said that 1 lb of waste per day is eliminated by the skin!

Love The Skin You're In!The skin really gives us warning signs of what is going on in the body. If there is a rash, bump, boil, pimple etc., we can be sure that our organs are in some way out of balance.

Armed with this knowledge, it’s up to you to choose how you’ll harmonize your body’s systems. Give yourself, your body, and your skin the gift of some tender loving care!

Dead skin cells and outdoor pollution, as well as waste from inside the body, can sometimes have a challenge getting out through clogged pores. Skin brushing will help to move things along and allow the skin to breathe. This is vital!

Bush your skin from bottom to top, towards your heart.I suggest you begin your skin brushing by starting at your feet, and brush up from there towards your heart.

Right after you have done some thorough skin-brushing, take a hot/cold shower to really get the lymph moving. It is so invigorating and beneficial to your body. The reason for this is it helps to regulate our nervous system & maintain optimum adrenal function.

If you are looking to get rid of cellulite or fat, you can be sure that if you practice 5-15 minutes of vigorous skin brushing per day for a period of 30 days, you will see results.

Choose a skin brush made from all natural fibers.Think of skin brushing as a massage for your connective tissue. As with traditional forms of massage, stored matter and toxins in your skin can be released, but this can also cause stored emotions to come to the surface for release, too.

What a true blessing!

If you do decide to start skin brushing today and don’t already own a skin brush, choose a skin brush made from all natural fibers.

Another great addition to skin brushing is to take a drop of therapeutic essential oil and rub onto the brush. You’ll feel – and smell – glorious!

Happy Skin Brushing Everyone!!

I bought a brush but have not started using it because I was confused about using it. So are you supposed to use it when you are dirty, before you shower? It sounds like the brush would get awfully dirty. How do you keep it clean? Am I missing something? Thanks :)

    Hi Kari,

I think it is best to skin brush prior to your shower. You want to get the dead skin off and stimulate the lymph. You can clean your skin brush once a week with natural cleanser of your choice.

    I hope this helps!
