Texas Tea Review & Giveaway!!!

Posted Jun 13 2013 6:54pm

First, I want to send a huge thank you to the awesome guys at Texas Tea for agreeing to give one of you, my fantabulous readers, a whole (mixed) case of their delicious teas and a Texas Tea Tshirt! Thank you, thank you!!!!

What’s better than kicking up your bare feet and relaxing with a glass of delicious, cold iced-tea on a hot summer’s day?

I love my tea – hot, cold, black, green, red, herbal, with or without lemon. MMmmmmm…. good! Oh, yeah.

So imagine my delight the other day when I walked in to the Brookshire’s in Nacogdoches and there’s a guy giving out tea samples. Did I hear tea? Yes, please, sign me up!

And I’m talking about real Texas tea – not oil, silly.

I was super hot and tired because I had been going non-stop since 7 am (and it was my day off!). Why? The annual Nacogdoches Blueberry Festival, that’s why. It was SO much fun. I took pictures and will share them soon but I wanted to share the Texas Tea Company first.

Anyway, tea sounded super refreshing so I was all ears. He first started describing the teas starting out with the Dove Creek Unsweet Tea . Um,unsweet?

I looked at him and asked: "Do I look like somebody who likes unsweet tea?" lol I think I embarrassed him a little but it just came flying out. A girl has to have some fun in her life – and sweetness, of course.

He was extremely polite and just moved right on to the next tea: Nacogdoches Blueberry Green Tea made with local blueberries and honey. Now we’re talkin’! This one ended up being my all-time favorite!!!

Meet Mr. Deepak Bajaj Co-Owner of Texas Tea

He is a really nice guy. He took all my teasing with a smile on his face. Awesome, right?!

As I was tasting the tea, he said: “Smell it and then sip twice.”

Um, okay. I started to ask if this was a wine tasting – but I had to stop teasing at some point!

But I did what he said – and it was sooooooooo good! Normally, I just tip up my glass and chug my tea. But he was absolutely right.

The Strawberry Tea was my next-favorite – that is, until I tasted the Sugar Land Sweet Tea .

Deepak said: “Now here’s a little tea with your sugar.”

I told him that’s how they make tea where I come from – Missouri. lol

But the Blueberry Green Tea won my heart.

All of the Texas Teas are made with local ingredients. I think it’s awesome that this company is supporting local business as they strive to bring us the most delicious, healthy tea possible. I totally commend them!

Out of the blue, I had the courage to ask him: “Hey, would you like to sponsor a giveaway for my blog readers?”

Without hesitating, he said: “Sure, I would!”

Awesomeness!!! And here we are…

I bought a few bottles of his tea and headed home. The next day I had some happy grass with my name on it – aka an overgrown yard, folks.

It sure was nice to enjoy an ice-cold bottle of this tea after tons of sweating from push mowing my ginormous yard. When I needed a break, I sat down, kicked my feet up, and enjoyed this refreshing tea. It totally took me from wilted to blooming in no time flat! Winking smile
