Robin

Posted May 22 2009 11:45pm

The oddest thing (well not really odd in my world) is happening right now. i have a robin on my plum tree near my dining room window at the back of the house. He's flying himself into the window every second or two and has been pretty much non-stop all day long.

When I go into the room and stand near the window, he stops. His beak slightly open and sits there. Then when I move away, he begins again.

I tried having a conversation with him but all I got at the time was "I'm knocking on your door". Well, yes you are my dear... what is it you want? LOL

If I am able to get any answers... I'll update this posting. If anyone has any ideas... please let me know! I'm a bit baffled and would love to know what it is he wants me to see, accept etc.

update: He tells me he wants to go through the window and sit on a branch I have inside the house. I told him he can't, there's a barrier (the glass) a blockage, he can't go there. He told me he needs to get there so I should find another route. (Interesting... so is it me who needs to find another route? Am I somehow missing the boat on something?)

update: April 5th - He's back again this morning. Same as yesterday. My daughter said he came over to her window for awhile as well. I'm trying to connect with him but don't seem to be getting anything that I understand. I feel like he's telling me to wake up and pay attention... but to what?

update: April 6th - He's back again today. Tapping on the window over and over again. Odd little bird.

update: April 7th - My sister sent me this: "Robin - New Beginnings, Spring, Finding New Light in Life, Power of Song

Robin has long been associated with Spring and the rising sun. "Early Bird" as it often is referred, shows us how this totem can help us get things done first. The changing of the males' beak color from brown to yellow tells us when the season of Spring has arrived. This also tells us when to expect new projects to begin or opportunities to present themselves. Robin's song is recongnized anywhere and reminds us the power of our voice to change our environment. This power of song can be used to set boundaries, heal, and lighten the emotional mood. Robins also have a strong connection to the color of red from their breast color. Red is connected to sex, aggression, power, root charka, manifestation, and life.

We (my hubby and I) are beginning our Green Smoothie Feast today... this is an enormous change for us. I am expecting that this is what he's telling us. To strap on our skis and get ready for this ride!!!

Outcome: April 7th - Okay so this weekend I find and sign up for a 'foraging class'... being taught how to forage in the wilderness for organic wild food. The bonus... this place is 5 minutes away from me and after the class I'm allowed to forage on their 120 acre mountainside property all year round!

Then today I'm at yoga class and the instructor says that this guy is coming from Ontario (a friend of hers) and is teaching a four day (9-5) meditation class for $80 - that's $20 a day!!!! I signed up on the spot.

THEN I get home from yoga and Dave says, "Rainforest Pottery" called... they want to know if you'd like to join the next class which starts this Friday. Ummmm YA. I've been on the waiting list for this class for 18 months!!!

So yes little Robin... I hear you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
