Raw Recipe: Beat The Chocolate Craving With This Simple And Nutritious Cacao Avocado Mousse

Get that chocolate craving under control with this recipe! It’s so simple to make, not to mention nutritious, and one of the best things about it is that, you probably already have all of the ingredients for this cacao avocado mousse that you need in the pantry. Feel good knowing you’re choosing a snack that is good for you and can be ready in a snap!

Feel virtuous while you indulge in this decadent chocolate avocado mousse!  Loaded with antioxidants and nutrients, your energy levels will soar with every spoonful!

  • 2/3 cup maple syrup, coconut nectar, or raw honeymousseblender258x231
  • 1/2 t organic vanilla extract
  • 2 ripe avocados
  • 1/3 cup cacao powder
  • 1/8 t Celtic sea salt
  • 1 t lucuma powder (optional)
  • 2-4 T water
  • 2 T goji berries
Blend the avocados in a food processor until smooth. Add the other ingredients except for the goji berries, and keep blending until you get a uniformly colored and fluffy mousse.  Spoon the chocolate mousse into a bowl, and refrigerate for about an hour. Sprinkle with goji berries.

Suggestions: Consider adding some fresh mint or cinnamon to the mix. You could also top with fresh berries. Half the recipe for a healthy single serving.

Variation: Add 1/4 cup of water to dilute, and layer with sliced bananas.
