Progress and Progress – Recapping Reconditioning with Ehlers Danlos Syndrome

On January 15, 2014 I completed a 30 minute workout session where I:
Walked 1 mile!
Jogged 2 miles!!
Completed 100 Jumping Jacks!
Worked in 20 lunges!
Crunched my abs 20 times!!
That workout session was amazing. I almost gave up at 20 minutes in, but was filled with a sudden burst of energy and determination to finish it up. At the end of the day, I only had some slight tightness in my calves, minor muscle aches in my abdomen, and some heaviness in my arms. This session started with 2.5# ankle weights while walking. I utilized them to help naturally pull my legs down and slide them back into place. My hips dislocate with quite easily due to Ehlers Danlos Syndrome. The weight and about 5 minutes of walking was all it took to feel the comforting relocation and instant pressure relief.
Since my last update on January 10, 2014 this is the progress I’ve made:
I have built my daily workout schedule!
I have continued to increase living foods into my body and reduce refined sugars and grains.
Have stepped into the world of barefoot running! (More on this soon.)
Getting up and moving is helping me in so many ways. I’m finding that between juicing, smoothies, movement, and God – each day is becoming more beautiful than I could have imagined. I find myself so often in tears thinking back to where I was just a few months ago physically and how I suffered in so much pain. I was still doing all that I could, but that is no where near where I am today. I truly believe eliminating all medications, over-the-counter and prescription, has made that difference. Living foods are fueling my body without a single synthetic interfering.
Are you working on your goals for 2014? What have you accomplished?
