It was nearly five years ago when I had a nurse in the Neonatal ICU suggest I begin looking at cleaning alternatives because my youngest son’s lungs wouldn’t be able to handle the chemicals in commercial cleaners due to his premature birth. Since that time, I’ve found great joy in creating and using my own chemical-free cleaners that are biodegradable, produce no toxic fumes, and leave my home sparkling.
In 2010, I took my battered notebook that contained all the recipes I had created and put them in a book for publication. That book, The Pantry Cleaner: Chemical Free Cleaning , went live on February 9, 2011 and has since sold over 15,000 copies. I am excited to announce that you can pick up your own Kindle version of the book this weekend for free on Amazon.com.
That’s right – FREE!
The recipes included in the book cover virtually every surface of your home – from floors to windows to cabinets and concrete. There are great tips for eliminating hard water buildup on shower heads and even the dreaded mold.
I love that we have digital options when it comes to books, but this one is great in paperback to leave your own notes on the margins with variants that you love when mixing your own cleaners.
Have a wonderful weekend and enjoy your time spent bringing a whole new clean to your home.
