Melissa's birthday tomorrow and although she isn't online... I bet she'd love to hear from you all (if and when she gets online) so feel free to send your birthday wishes to her here or on facebook.
They've been sleeping in their van with all their possessions crammed in it as well... so not much sleep happening on upright seats! (no room to recline the seats). The rain has been non-stop and their tent is full of water during the night so they can't stay in it.
Today they moved to a new campsite and are hoping it'll stay dry for the night.

Last week I sent her money to get her nose pierced for her birth day. I know she's wanted to do it for a long time so I wanted to do something for HER since all their money goes to food, gas and lodging (yup it costs money to pitch your tent). I also picked her up a gorgeous lapis pendulum which I'll be sending her as soon as she can find someone to let her receive a package at their addy (she's working on it) and of course, we'll be sending them some money to help out with food. No one should be hungry on the anniversary of their birth!

Melissa is the raw food columnist for Timeless Spirit Magazine and my very bestest friend! Her raw family became homeless over a year ago. They've found places to stay here and there but they've pretty much been living in a tent (or sleeping in their van).
