When Raw Mom Joanne Newell put together the first ever raw food recipe book for kids, we knew it would be a hit, but we didn’t realize how well-loved and adored this collection would become!  So many kids of all ages have been inspired to get creative in the kitchen and love their veggies served with style, since this book was written.

The daily moments we create now with our children help determine the choices they make in the future.  Monkey Mike’s Un-Cookbook for Kids is the perfect kitchen companion to help make that happen!

This week we have up for grabs 3 copies of Monkey Mike’s Raw Food Kitchen recipe collection. Read on to find out how you can win a copy to inspire the little ones in your life along a path to vibrant living.

Monkey Mike raw food

He’s the new maître d’ at your house and he’s going to get the kids inspired and excited about eating more fresh foods!

Having grown up in the jungles of childhood fairy tales, Monkey Mike is the perfect companion for your child’s discovery of fresh, healthy food preparation. Being a vegetarian raw foodist himself, you can be sure he’ll choose the best foods for ingredients in his recipes, too.

These days, school lunch boxes are packed with more than just a sandwich and a crisp, juicy apple. There are refined blood sugar boosters, hydrolyzed pesticides, hydrogenated herbicides and artificially colored artery blockers!

I don’t mean to be dramatic, but have you noticed that the incidence of food allergies, asthma, ADD, child-onset diabetes and obesity are on the rise?

We’ve got to get back to the basics and get our kids eating more good ol’ fashion fruit and vegetables in their diets.

raw food kidsThe best way to get your kids eating healthy food is to inspire, educate & ignite their interest!

Forcing children to eat well only creates rebellion in the long run. With more than 140 pages, 36 recipes, and countless creative illustrations, you’ve got everything you need to get your kids excited, inspired and empowered about choosing healthy recipes like these ones:

  • Cat’s Meow Chocolate Pudding
  • Chunky Monkey Ice Cream
  • Froggy Delight Green Smoothie
  • Alien Slime Smoothie
  • Walnut Creek Dip
  • The book is peppered with creative food facts, activities, a word search, jigsaw puzzle, and a coloring page, too!

No more spilled milk or burned toast!!

With Monkey Mike on the scene, all these recipes are guaranteed to be:

  • dairy free
  • gluten free
  • vegan
  • 100% raw
  • good for growing bodies and brains!

I have four free monkeys here, like your approach of freedom with food, even for kids! Kids loved this alien goop recipe book for kids, but it’s all toxic stuff. It looks like your book is written in the style kids want to join on the bandwagon with. The primates here like to eat, like to cook and as unschoolers, they need an UN-cookbook!

I’m always searching for inspired, delicious, and healthy recipes to whip up for my lovelies. My children are older, but I feel it’s important to educate them on the benefits of eating a raw food based diet. What better way to do this than to show them how amazingly delicious raw food can be!

Tera you are the most inspiring woman I can think of. I love reading your blogs. They are always so full of life and really make a person feel so good and warm and that they can conquer anything!

I have slowly began to bring more and more raw into my diet especially now being pregnant. If I dont get my green smoothie in for a day I really feel sluggish and my tummy get’s upset. I think babe is mad when he/she doesn’t get those YUMMY nutrients :)

I want to be able to provide my first child with the BEST nutrients and most healthy lifestyle I possibly can- it is my mission. Children are the future and I would feel I have failed if I were to let my child grow up in an unhealthy lifestyle!

I am someone who is always in the kitchen trying out new things. My husband always asks for something I have already made and is dissapointed but also excited when I say no because I have something new to try! Rarely does a meal get made more then twice a month that is the same lol! I love variety, trying new things and experimenting so this would just be a terrific journey I can take with my little munchkin when it is born!

Also I have “liked” your facebook page and have been following for a year now! I LOVE listening to your WISH summit and am so excited for this year’s especially to hear Alice Bracegirdle another inspiring woman !

THanks so much for your consideration

Helloooo!! I have 3 little monkeys, aged 5, 2 and 2, and they loooove to monkey around in the kitchen. They always eat better when they have a hand preparing it, and not needing to worry aobut little fingers being burned on the stove would be such a bonus! :) And I liked it on FB! :) Cheers!

My husband is now onboard with my new healthy lifestyle, in the last two months he has dropped 15 lbs, so now our only challenge is our 6 yr old daughter. I think having her own recipes book may inspire her to eat healthy. Maybe she can make us a meal or two :)

I already like Tera Warner’s page on FB.
With 3 fussy eating teenagers & all gluten free this book would be ideal to take away their fear of uncooking in the kitchen, cooking or uncooking for kids should be fun & easy, & this book looks just that :) Dawn

I “liked” Tera’s page a long time ago. I would love to win this book because my 4 year old has been getting too interested in more junky food and less yummy food since starting preschool this year.
