Eating papaya

Posted Jul 01 2009 4:07am

How come  people living in US hardly eat any papaya? We live in India where papaya is available in plenty through out the year. Price-wise too it's very reasonable.Couple of slices of papaya evry night will help one to avoid constipation. I also take  couple of spoon fulls of psyllium husk ( which is sold in the US stires as colon cleanser) and have never encountered problems of indigestion or constipation. On the contrary I've found that it has greatly reduced my cholesterole levels. Thought that this info will be of benefit to other members. Another thing, I avoid red meat and help myself to some fish once in a while. Thanks
