[Day 1: Commit to Fit] Our 10-Day Fitness Challenge Begins!

I spend ENOUGH time behind this computer screen, sitting in a car and standing in the kitchen! I want to move, groove, sweat and feel fabulous so I’m kicking off a 10-Day Commit to Fit Challenge on the blog, and I’m starting NOW! When I’m fit I feel sexy, confident, and unstoppable. I don’t worry about the size of my body because whatever size I am it feels strong and healthy and so I love being in my body and using it and letting it show!The season of short sleeves and skirts is coming back and I want to feel fit and fabulous when it happens. For the next 10 days I’ll be posting on the blog EVERY day a new video or song to help you move your booty and commit to being FIT and feeling fabulous!! This March we will be releasing a brand new program with a focus on Fitness. For 5 weeks we’ll be doing fitness with the elements: Fire, Water, Air, Spirit and Earth! In order to give you a sneak preview and help get the whole community on board the feeling fabulous bandwagon, we’ll be hosting a free 10-day fitness challenge here on the blog! I’ve asked my dear friend, Alice Bracegirdle of Bellyfit to help me out with this, so here’s what it’s going to look like:

All you have to do is check in on the blog. Every day for 10 days we’ll be posting a new video or music tune to get you moving. If you follow along and tell us about it, you could be one of three winners of our upcoming Be Fit program. We’ll be releasing this in the spring and I’ll be calling upon some of my best friends and fabulous fitness folks to help us feel our fittest and most fabulous selves!     Wow ! New Bellyfit moves ! I like them so much, Alice is explaining everything quite clearly and I looooove the music. Will there be a different one everyday ? COOOL ! Guess I will feel it tomorrow. Good night !

    I did Alice’s video just now. I don’t get a lot of movement in and realized I haven’t done floor work in ages. It was nice to stretch out a bit. I wasn’t able to keep up so I just followed along the best I could and did the moves with my feet on the ground. I figured any movement was better than none. Thanks for motivating me to move away from my computer to get my body in motion. I think I’ll follow it up with a one mile walk and some stretching. I appreciate the inspiration and look forward to the next nine days. Blessings!

    My tight hip flexors loved this routine! I learned something new too, which I love. I never thought about coming up on one toe with the opposite heel on the floor when lifting the hip up and down. :) Loved the music too!

    Many thanks for the video. I sit in front of my computer all day as I trade the stock market. This is just what I needed to help me get back into shape. Will do the exercises before I trade and will try to do some at lunch time and after hours too. Targeting different areas at each session. Will just need to get more videos from you

    I love starting my day off with this routine and setting a goal for myself. Starting this way, allowed me to focus on eating better for the day and seeing the difference in my attitude over all and my desire to want to workout, move and eat raw!

    Wow! Just catching up since I had a busy work day and family life yesterday and couldn’t even fit in 7 minutes with a 16 month old. I definitely felt the burn, way before the instructor asked if we “felt the burn”. I feel like the deep stretching is what I crave and it really is helpful to have guidance to go deeper. It’s not like I can’t sit on the floor and do a sacral stretch but for me it is really helpful to take the time out of my life and make room for exercise now while the baby is napping. I love this idea of exercising in connection to the elements, I always think of it in terms of dance. More Earth!!!
