Tera Warner's retreat in Mexico

by Tera Warner

When trying to decide what I could do to help increase the participation and commitment factor of this FINAL WISH Summit, I decided to do something crazy, totally out of budget, but super inspiring all the same. I decided to invite all the committed, persistent and determined women who are a part of this community, to come and share their realizations throughout the 40 days and 40 nights of the WISH Summit with our community on the blog or on the Facebook page. ONE of those amazing women will be awarded with an invitation to join us absolutely free in Tulum, Mexico this may for The Ultimate Adventure in Self-Love and Self-Discovery with 23 other AMAZING women!

I’ll explain how it works and what you need to do below! This could be your ticket to come and spend time with me in Mexico, Baby!!

Tera Warner's Mexico Retreat

Starting on March 9th as the first day, I would simply ask that you share something about your participation and involvement in the WISH Summit. I don’t expect you to like or “connect” with all our callers, but some are absolutely life-changing and we’d love to hear what you think. The most important part is your commitment to participating every day during the event. I’m not saying you have to listen to the ENTIRE call. I’m just asking you to commit to being involved, participating and sharing that participation with our community! (If you’re not comfortable with posting on my Facebook page, then you’re welcome to simply post your experiences and feedback here on the blog. Just write in the comment section of this blog every day for the 40 days of the WISH Summit.)

The FIRST call starts with Pete’s call on March 9th. Our intro call with Tom was there to help set the stage and create a beautiful blessing for the event. Now the content and inspiration starts and I’d love to hear what you think, and have you share your experience and contribution as you go. And how cool is it that doing so could have you win a trip to Mexico!! And not just ANY trip. The Ultimate Adventure in Self-Love & Self-Discovery! This is going to be AMAZING!

Please Note: While we will be able to cover all your costs for the experience, in order to avoid penalizing people who are local, we ask that you cover the costs for your own travel to our event location. The rest, is on us! (Almost a $4,500 value!!)

Thank you so much for participating and may all of your wild and wonderful WISHes come true!!

Love,

Tera

I felt really inspired by Tom’s call! I was able to tell by the way he spoke, that he has his priorities straight! There are so many things pulling us in many directions, it is hard to slow down and focus. I love being reminded to rest not only the body, but the mind through meditation and relaxation. What a great kick off to this years summit!

Before I had kids, I practiced yoga and meditated regularly, and benefited greatly of course! This call made me acutely aware of how deeply I miss going within! I love how Tom talked about “emptying the vessel of what we are not, and then filling it back up with positivity, joy, love…” (something close to that anyway!)

While I am a very happy mama, between the distractions of media and busy little ones,it is high time that I start consciously creating space for stillness again!

Tera, I am SO excited about this summit! It’s just what I need right now, truly. And while I don’t know a whole lot about your Adventure in Self Love program, I do know that the title speaks volumes. And to spend a week with you and 23 other amazing women diving in to self love would be a mind-blowing, life-ehancing journey no doubt. While things are really good in my life now, I am actually just emerging from so many experiences over the course of the past 7 years that had me lose touch with who I was and question everything I thought I knew. I am emerging though! I’m emerging because I always held on to faith, and to the beauty that I know exists all around me in this world. Seeing so much ugliness for so long definitely makes re-emerging a challenge to do with the same confidence, trust and love that I once know I radiated….but every day I am releasing more of the anger and hurt, and that is a blessing that I am beyond grateful for.

Oh, and the trip to Tulum (a place that is near and dear to one of my sistas so has always been on my list!) is the week I turn 35! :)

I’m definitely ready to “look better, feel better, and be on FIRE for life!” ;)

    I’m all in!

I plan to participate….. right now I’m a little reticent to post on facebook, but after 2 calls, my guess is that I will be posting soon. Thanks so much for gathering all of this information for us. I need it; it’s in a gazillion places; and having a spot where I can access the hoards makes me so happy! Special TY to SARK for letting me know that you are doing this!!!

    Tera –
I am so excited for this WISH summit, and I want to thank you for offering your interviews for FREE! Enabling us to download the mP3 is very generous of you. As a way to express my gratitude, I am committing to tuning into the summit and commenting daily. So far, I have listened to Tom Cronin. WOW. He is filled with so much wisdom and light. And what’s amazing is that he has reminded me that I too possess that wisdom. It’s the wisdom of the universe and we all have it! A few years ago I received what I am beginning to think was a spontaneous enlightenment. It was on the day my grandmother died and I believe it was her spirit whispering to me my truth. On that day I sat down, picked up a pencil, and what poured onto paper 3 poems. I had never really written poetry so easily before. Anyway … in the last 3 years there are often times I hear nuggets of wisdom from gurus that remind me of something from my poems. And every time it happens, I think to myself … “you KNOW this, now go out and LIVE it.” It’s always a nice reminder to take inspired action. One of the things Tom said was “A lot of people are trying to fix their bodies but unless we tend to the state of the mind, then it will be difficult to heal our bodies.” This sounded a lot like something I wrote which was … “Nourishment comes from within. Until you see yourself for what you’re worth, the food on your plate is secondary.” My challenge now is to honor my worth. Why is that so hard? Anyway … I have lots of other connections I’ve made to his blessing … more than I can share in this “comment” … but I am also going to commit to launching my blog in an effort to share my musings and knowledge with the world. I will also post the poems my grandmother whispered to me. For now, Thank you. Thank you for the WISH summit. Thank you for providing this forum to chat and share and connect. Thank you for all your great work in this world. ❤ DIna

Hi Tera! I just listened to your call with Pete Cerqua and did the workout and waaaaaa! Amazing! I have done so many different forms of exercise over the years and never felt the burn that fast as I did today! I am so committed to doing the full 40 days for a number of reason but the Mexico trip would be such an amazing adventure and so timely in my life. I want you to know that I have been listening to WISH avidly every year and from the very beginning it sparked something inside of me that has changed my life and every year it gets better! I am so sad to hear that this is its last year but thrilled for what is to come for you in the future. Thank you for being a beacon of light and love in my life when I have needed it most. These calls started an inner transformation that continues to grow and expand every day. I am so grateful to you, your amazing interviewees and all the gifts of treasure it has all given me. Much love to you! Super excited to see what the next 40 days brings. xoxo

I was stunned to learn that the traditional 3 sets of 12 reps was not the most efficient way to work out! I also related to Tera (you) saying that sometimes you feel the time you spent thinking about working takes more time than just doing it! This was an inspiring interview! Thank you!

I love being challenged and love dreaming about a trip with Tera to Mexico!!! I am so proud of myself for taking time during vacation to listen to both last and tonight’s calls and getting through them despite very slow internet connection in Guatemala. Tom helped me recommit to my meditation practice and Pete just kicked my butt with his 90 second challenge. I love it and will continue doing these excercises for the next 40 days! Thank you so much for your inspiration, love, motivations and support, Tera. I also loved that Nicolas did the challenge with you – so sweet!!!

Before my thirties finding silence was nearly impossible. Now in my mid forties it is a daily vacation.

It was always a necessity, but now it isnt nearly as difficult. That said, I often forget. Thanks for the reminder.

We can hardly be at our best if we cant hear over the din.

As for short sweet workouts, i began doing them even before motherhood, but now theyre all I do. High level short WOs are more effective, feel better and yeild faster results. I’ve written a few blogs on the subject and am glad Tera covered this since too few people know.

    Excited for the next installment!

I am so excited to try this Summit out. I have a beautiful family and three beautiful kids I am home with everyday. That alone is a blessing and what more could I be asking for? Recently, I realized I have forgotten to make time for myself and I am so glad to throw myself into WISH. I need to focus more on my health and I am hoping this kicks me off in the right direction. It’s time I work on myself.

More importantly, I have to thank you for offering the calls for Free. As a stay-at-home mom I feel guilty spending money on things for myself and now that is one major obstacle you are removing from my life. Now I can commit fully. YAY!

Day 1: Started with my first ‘stillness session’ in 6 months; followed by listening to Pete’s call, doing the exercises and having a kale/mango smoothie. I was struck by how powerful and energizing the short, intense exercises are. I was also intrigued to learn the power of ‘lowering’. I plan to order the book today. I feel more motivated and inspired today than I have in a very long time.

    So-first day stats:
Wall Squat (two legs) – 95 secs.
Plank (no lowering due to shoulder injury): 47 sec.

I even learned how to use the stopwatch feature on my phone!

    WISH onward!

Thank you for all your work and for this huge gift, the WISH!
What impressed me most of Tom’s call was the sense of calmness, even if he was a “chaotic mess inside” (I use his own words).
We all have this and part of the work we do is to calm this mess inside us.
The vast ocean of my inner life needs to be calm and thank to what I do, learn and know I can make the difference. As women we need to calm the ocean, to reach this point of calmness…

Talking about himself he says also that his life was like a “burning candle”…well, Tera with your support we can be like candles, enlighting our path and the path of our beloved.

    Thank you very much!

    Day 1
    Dear Tera,

Thank you for sharing inspiring, life-changing messages through the WISH Summit. I am committed to following the calls for 40 days (I’ll be traveling later this month, so I may need to double up sometimes) and to completing Pete Cerqua’s exercises. After doing basic wall sits and planks for several months, it is fun to have a new fitness challenge. (one-legged wall sit – 60 sec.; slow sit ups – 50 sec.; lowering plank – 45 sec.)

The prospect of connecting deeply with other lively, passionate women in the exotic, natural environment of Tulum, Mexico, is delightful to contemplate, even if the journey remains an adventure of the imagination.

    With big, beautiful wishes,

    Kimberly

What a great call with Alice. So nice to know there are other fabulous ways we can move our body. How freeing!

Ok, so Alice is phenomenal!!! It’s so fabulous to be able to begin to understand why we are in some elements and then switch – other than “It’s a woman’s prerogative!” I’ll be going back to listen to her again and again… where is the first call???

Listened to todays call by Bellyfit. Bought book by Pete. Did my wallsit (50 sec) and plank (20 sec). May have to modify plank, bent arms causing neck/shoulder pain according to Chiro. :-( All set to challenge myself tomorrow! Having second thought about running 5 and 10K’s.

listening/posting on each of these wonderful calls daily…. and just love the new thoughts on the movement of the elements in our lives, (or dwelling in one too much) and the nourishing ways to give to the body that you and alice bracegirdle explored. it is freeing my head up to move more, stay active with life’s rhythms…feeling it, living it!!! than you sooo much!!!!

Just listened to the call with Alice Bracegirdle: As a fellow Canadian, I loved hearing each and every one of her accented ‘abouts’ ;) But more importantly, her commentary on the elements was eye opening. She addressed the excess of earth, and talked about it manifesting as cysts and tumours…4 years ago my doctors found a cyst in my brain. It sparked a journey to healing that is all about honouring the cycles of my body, going with the flow, and moving with the earth. The elemental idea is food for thought, and an action call to connect body mind and soul!

    Wow!

These calls are all so inspiring! Thank you so much for offering them to us! These are all people I’d love to meet face to face one day. This summit is so great, and how fun to be doing something with people who want to better themselves.

A great group of grrls, a great idea, a great summit and a chance to win a trip to add icing on the proverbial cake of self-improvement, how fantastic is that?

I really was surprised to find out that the traditional, or at least how I’ve always trained, 3 sets of 10-12 reps wasn’t the best idea. I love learning, and going forward, thank you again for this summit and for all the wonderful advice and knowledge imparted.

Blessings to you and the whole team!

so hoping this post works for days March9th and 10th as well as today March 12th….happy to see that my post for 11th did go thru but as i am not Facebooked as i thot i was…i will post here daily instead. Everyday in everyway everything is getting better and better – so far i can even more appreciate my silence spaces of time – and commitment to never miss them morning and night, my 90sec challenges on and off the wall and floor, i am breathing completely diffently [and i thot i knew bellybreath 'breath of fire' from kundalini and from yoga proactise] but now it is like i never knew how to do basic life essence breathing! also getting to the building blocks as all the elemental forces in my life play such a strong role in where i am and where i am going that now having dance and music and movement to express them with will make my journey so much more full and bountiful…hanging on for the ride!! oh yea and all the chlorophyl now filling my cells from the green smoothies from your site recipes are perfect for warming up all the winter -25C days & transforming them to bright sunny doses of energy…..thks a ton laurie

I find the 40 day challenge motivating in so many ways. The past two WISH summits – I “fell behind” and feel like this year will be different becasue of the built in accountability on this blog. Each year – my goal is to connect with one new teacher to learn more deeply with and 1-3 new techniques to use ongoing.

LOVED your interview with Alice ~ you two are both adorable! :) As a former personal trainer who has spent a lot of time in the gym, it was so refreshing to think about choosing our movements inuitively based on the elements. I am very aware of when I feel contracted or expanded, or in the flow or stuck….and knowing that I could shift my energy based on what element I might be experiencing an excess of is pretty cool. Time to tune in and listen more, and trust my body as the perfect messenger. Love that!

Oh, and I did my Day 3 Wall Squat for 54sec., and my plank for 60sec.

I’m doing these exercises first thing in the morning so I don’t forget, and it is such an invigorating way to get going! Thanks again to Pete!

Just finished listening to another inspiring wish summit call, Tera.s team helped me get the links i missed with first days technical glitz. So glad I got them and didnt miss anything. Even if I have heard a couple of the speakers before Tera is pulling out new ideas and concepts. Very refreshing, inspiring and motivational summit so far. Love how theme seems to be, to me, to customize, listen to ourselves, use what we hear and go within to take what’s right for us as individuals.

    Day 2
Dr. Belisa brought another layer of understanding to the diaphragmatic breathing techniques my music professors taught me in college. Perhaps I used to enjoy the slow long-tone exercises because my body was reveling in the infusion of extra oxygen. Deep breaths are invigorating. Thank you!

    (one-legged wall sit – 60 sec.; slow sit ups – 55 sec.; lowering plank – 50 sec.)
