Antioxidant Salad on Martha

Posted Sep 14 2008 4:48pm

Today on the Martha Stewart Show author Sue Ciminelli prepared a totally raw " Antioxidant Salad".

So you maybe thinking, "What's the big deal?"

Well, if you really think about it, 99% of all salads prepared on TV still have either cheese, croutons, meat bits or some dairy based dressing. Yet here is a salad, on one of the most popular morning shows, that uses none of the above.

On top of that, Ciminelli even bashed soda and artificial sweeteners - telling the women in the audience how bad they were for their skin. Martha, who is surprising very green educated herself, also added relevant anecdotes. Big-up to Martha!

See... they didn't have to call the salad raw. In fact its better that they didn't. But the fact that it was raw/organic shows the far reaching influence that the raw food conscious movement is having.

Oh how I dream of the day when the name of this blog changes from "We Like It Raw" to "We Like Food".
