A Mourning Mom: Nourishment for Body, Mind & Soul

Posted May 27 2013 11:19am

Hi, y’all!

Now that I’ve updated you on my new Office Manager position and got that dreadful secret off my chest (it tormented me for YEARS!), we can move along…

Today I want to share something painful, yet beautiful and inspiring, with you.

You may remember reading about the big changes my business partner and I decided to make a while back. This included amazing opportunities and relocation for both Mysti and me.

I made the journey to the big state of Texas . Mysti stayed in her home state of Wyoming, but moved to another city and endured a lot of changes.

Before our transitions began, we had already agreed to join forces and share our insight and knowledge of health, healing, and juice and smoothie recipes in the form of our first co-authored book. We were so excited! But we knew that we had a long, hard road ahead of us.

We were determined to push our way through the difficult parts of our rocky roads and make room to focus on the book as soon as we possibly could.

And then we met Mr. Reality. Head-on.

The stresses of our new jobs and all that came with relocation took a lot more out of both of us than we had ever anticipated and while we both longed to steal away in the quiet and write, it simply wasn’t happening.

Mysti is the mother of two very amazing and precious little boys and we were both working jobs that were using all of our physical and emotional energy stores.

And another issue Mysti was dealing with was the continued grieving of losing her precious baby boy, Reiley, to SIDS April 10, 2000 .

So, as part of her healing process, she has created a new site: Mourning Mom .

Mysti’s strength and wisdom never ceases to amaze me. This beautiful woman has lost a child, battled cancer , and had numerous other hardships and battles and still, she puts a smile on her face, is the most amazing mother to her boys, and finds enough time and energy to inspire the world on top of everything else!

As for our book… We are finally at a place in life where we can begin to pull our focus toward that juice and smoothie recipe book.

We hope you understand our tardiness. Winking smile

And I do hope and pray that Mysti’s story of great loss and healing is a blessing to you in some way. Even if you haven’t lost a child, I know you’ve lost someone. Mysti can help you heal. She is a woman of great strength and faith and she has been such an inspiration to me for so many years.

In some of my darkest moments, Mysti has sent prayers and encouraging words that helped me pick myself up, dust myself off, and carry on with my chin up and a smile on my face.

Check out Mysti’s website: Mourning Mom . I don’t think you’ll have a dry eye, but I know you’ll feel hope in your heart and be inspired with a fresh, renewed attitude.

Thank you, Mysti, for being YOU!!! Red heart
