You must be a mind-reader! I was just thinking about RAW baby food last night as I was steaming apples for my 6-month-old. All the books I’ve found on making your own baby food have you steam or microwave the food first. That seems so unintuitive to me, since I would think they need the enzymes to digest their new solid foods. I tried raw pears blended, and my son was not too interested. The pear was not as ripe as it could have been, so I will try it again. When I think of doing squashes for him, I can’t imagine what to do to make them palatable for a baby. I am so happy to see the Sun-Sational Raw Baby Food book you linked me to! I look forward to checking it out. Thanks for thinking of the mamas out here in the RAW world.
When I first tried out raw living a few years ago, I had a hard time finding information that was simple enough to follow. Needless to say, I’ve been on and off raw foods for years due to the complexity of it and all the nuts and seeds the recipes seem to require. I always felt weighed down by it all. Reading the information in the 7-day detox really enlightened me. It doesn’t have to be complicated, and in fact, it will be truer to nature without tons of ingredients. I also love, love, love the food-combining charts and information. It is broken down so clearly. Please thank all the Raw Divas involved in getting this information out there for us. I am truly impressed!
